Cinquillo is a fast-paced Spanish rummy-style race: be the first player to play every card from your hand. You and three CPU opponents each hold cards dealt from the full 40-card deck. The game is played over multiple rounds — win a round by emptying your hand first, and the match ends the moment a player's running score reaches the target.
The deck has 40 cards across four suits — 10 ranks in each. Every suit builds its own sequence on the table, starting from its 5.
Each suit's sequence always starts with its 5, then grows outward in both directions — toward the Ace one way, toward the King the other.
The winner of a round scores 5 points, plus 1 point for every card still held by each opponent. Play continues, round after round, until a player's total reaches the target score (30 by default) — that player wins the match.
Cinquillo is played by 4 players, using a 40-card deck dealt out entirely — 10 cards each.
Extend a suit's sequence by playing the card directly below its lowest showing card or above its highest, or play a suit's 5 to open it. You must play any legal card if you have one.
Whoever holds the 5 of Coins plays first and must open with that exact card.
The winner of each round scores 5 points, plus 1 point for every card still held by each opponent.
Play continues round after round until a player's running total reaches the target score, winning the match.
